I've had this piece for about 12 years and always wondered who/where/when/how. I've included a standard wine glass for scale - it's really big!

It weighs 3925kg so I cannot imagine that it was blown without a mould, but it was made in one piece. I did try to work out how it was done - a long time ago - and from memory I think I came to the conclusion that it might have been acid etched. The design sits a little proud of the body.
Any thoughts would be welcome.

Now that I've shown my age by revealing my poor understanding of metric weights...........I hope nobody minds if I bump this with a request for clues about this 3925g or 3.925kg lump.

It looks like it belongs with those old dinner services that can be found. Like the tazza Keith posted here recently.
Is it really green? This was not at all what I expected to see from your title - I was expecting something quite modern and bright. ;D
