Title: Identification of my glass bowls and pitcher
Post by: lorac10 on February 08, 2007, 06:40:21 PM
I have three glass bowls and a hand blown pitcher that has been in my family for many, many years.  I do not know anything about them and would like to find out what type of glass they are, their age, etc.  I do have photos that I can share for identification purposes.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated help.

Thank you for your reply, but unfortunately, I am unable to find the way to post the photos of the glass items I would like identified.  If someone could post a step by step way, I would really appreciate it.  I am new to this board and message boards in general so that may be my problem in trying to do this.  But, as I mentioned, I am eager to learn about the glass pieces that have been in  my family for many years.  I doubt they have much value but I think they are pretty and would like to know more abou them.  Again, thank you for your help.

I think I did it!  Just hope that they are large enough for identification purposes (started out and they were too big and were not able to be uploaded!).  I have uploaded four photos:  an amber bowl (Carnival Glass?), a small green footed bowl with gold accents, a pink bowl with gold accents and a large 'daisy' pitcher.

Hopefully, someone will be able to give me some information about these pieces that have been in my family for quite a few years, especially the 'daisy'  pitcher.  They hold sentimental value to me but may not be of value to others, except maybe, the pitcher. Eagerly awaiting to learn about them!  Again, thank you for all of the help that has been shown to me.

Thank you so very much and now I hope that someone will be able to identify them and give me some info pertaining to them.  Again, thank you so much for getting me closer to my goal!

The green and pink bowls are both EAPG.

The pink bowl is US Glass Co. pattern "Delaware", which often is seen in green, as in here:

I don't recognise your green piece immediately.

Edited to add: EAPG = Early American Pattern (or Pressed) Glass.

The green bowl is Geneva by Northwood/National/McKee circa 1900.
