Just kicked myself :o I was almost sure they were Czech.
I've just spotted these Kastehelmi plates http://cgi.ebay.com/NUUTAJARVI-ARABIA-FINLAND-KASTEHELMI-PLATES-TOIKKA_W0QQitemZ290072970007QQihZ019QQcategoryZ18893QQcmdZViewItem

I was going to post this piece as I thought the bumps were too smooth to by Nuutajarvi - the piece pictured in "Fire & Sea" page 60, looks as though the knobbly bits are very pointed. The bits on this are quite smooth..........

Do they vary?
Thanks

Cat, yours could be Grapponia by Nanny Still for Rikiimaki. The two patterns have similarities. Grapponia bumps are definitely smooth - I've just felt mine ;D

Here are some photos of the little Kastehelmi candle collars I have.
I thought I'd post them because the "bumps" are much more pointed than those on Cats glass, as others have said.

It's very interesting because that turquoise / kingfisher colour was used by Nuutajärvi in the late 60s /70s, but I've never seen anything Riihimaki Grapponia in it, although grapponia bumps definitely seem to be smoother :-\ http://www.huuto.net/fi/showlist.php3?status=N&tits=grapponia&order=R&cat=%25&lcat=X&start=0&num=50

I've got a bowl with similar bumps, which I always assumed was Czech or something. I used to use it for trifle ::) :-[ Now it just sits on the conservatory window sill and the cats walk carefully through it.
Is it just a cheap depression pressed glass bowl? Or should I be taking a little more care of it? (and maybe moving it to a slightly more salubrious position) ???
