Title: Little HP Frosted Glass souvenir vase, Montana - US or European? (edited desc)
Post by: josordoni on February 11, 2007, 03:08:11 PM
This is a charming little hand painted spill vase - frosted glass, of course, not milk glass as I first called it - my mind is not a tidy place at the moment, sorry.

If this had a UK place name on it, I would assume it was made in Germany in the same way as most souvenir china was made in the early 1900s.  However, as it has a US name, were these made and exported from Germany in the same way, or made in US?

And early or much later?

thanks for any thoughts

Looks modern printed to me.

No it definitely not printed, its fully hand painted.  I can see the brush marks, the leaves on the trees have been sponged on.
