Title: Question about a mark on a perfume bottle...
Post by: Piper on February 13, 2007, 03:03:58 AM
I have a pink satin glass perfume bottle. It has an embossed flower on one side and an impressed mark on the bottom of a bull or long-horned steer. does this mark sound familiar to any of you guys. Any idea who the maker is?

...I can't get a good, clear picture of it because I have a bad camara  :(

A bulls head mark has been discussed here earlier on the board - there are some photos showing the mark and pieces with it on - see here  http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,3598.0.html  - is this the same mark as you're asking about?

That cow's head (or bull's head) had troubled me for years (I have a pink frosty perfume bottle with it on) until a friend found one that also the Taiwan label. We still don't have a factory name, but at least the country of origin is known.  :)

So I guess it's ok to let my daughter have it for her vanity.

Make sure she does not let it get damaged, it has a future.

:D yup, maybe someday our Great-great grandkids might be able to get a few bucks for it on Ebay. Seriously though, it is a pretty bottle and the quality isn't bad so it probably will be worth something someday.
