Title: A big, heavy crystal centerpiece bowl
Post by: Piper on February 24, 2007, 01:27:07 AM
Hi everyone. I said in my last post that I had one more piece of mystery glass. Here it is. Maybe this isn't more cheap junk.

This bowl is about 9 3/8" X 9 3/8" X 4 3/4" high and weighs about 9lbs. It has a pineapple and star pattern. The pattern appears to be pressed with some cutting. It has 4 shell-shaped feet. The glass itself is highly reflective and sparkles. It makes a nice bell tone when I rap it on the side with my knuckles. It's completely unmarked. Any idea who the maker is?

Thanks for any help.

Piper, I think it may be modern and sold under the label Bohemia Crystal, but someone is sure to know more than me.

Thanks Cathy.
I agree that it's probably modern. It's in too good condition to be old (no nicks or wear). I'll look into Bohemian Crystal.
