I'm sure I've asked this before but there was no reply so I'm none the wiser. But with a changing crowd, maybe someone has come across this before?
It is an elephant in a clear straw coloured crystal. Somewhere in the attic I have a matching pig, and I know the pig exists in red as well.
Now I have found both pigs and elephant vases of similar construction were produced circa 1927 by Loetz - except these were in iridised textured glass, not clear. http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/displayimage.php?pos=-5318 Anyone care to comment on such a similarity?

You did Ivo, I'm referencing the earlier discussion here as it eliminates one maker: http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,2961.msg22857.html#msg22857

Just to say what a brilliant elephant - love it :D
(one day I'll ID something for Ivo!)
Is it worth saving the pictures on the other thread to GlassGallery?

SOLVED - after all these years!
The original photograph has gone AWOL, so here is another one.
I just found a larger relative in an auction catalogue (Fischer Heilbronn #82, 1994) : Loetz Witwe, Klostermühle, around 1900.
and a subsequent google revealed this baby:

I think I can almost retire on the proceeds LOL.

Excellent! I love it when an id finally surfaces.
Do you have the others to show as well?

I'm sure i cannot photograph a catalogue image for which i have no (C)
for the pig i only have a grainy small pic, but it should be obvious it is from the same source - same colour et all. But it does not come up in google.

Thanks Ivo - it's good to see the shapes and design :)
