British & Irish Glass / Brierley studio or not ?
« Last post by keith on October 11, 2025, 07:18:34 PM »
Picked this up today, the dimensions match with other globe bowls I have but this one is not in any of the catalogue pictures Gwyneth Newland sent me, it's not a colour I've seen before in the 'Decor' pattern, suppose I better email Gwyneth as it was one of her designs !

A bowl for sale here on ebay.
I think the flat enamelling in silver and gold and the eyes and mouth of the supporting salamanders is very similar to my bowl.
Looking at it with fresh eyes I think it has most similarities with Harrach items.  The enamelling is hard to see detail because the photographs aren't good, however it looks very similar to the butterflies and silver and gold flat enamel on my bowl:

The other option might be Stuart maybe ...

Close ups of mine here for the butterflies and detail

Glass / Re: Orrefors Bowl - Is this Watefall?
« Last post by kisslikeether on October 10, 2025, 07:47:13 AM »
This is F2611 (Often misdescribed online as being part of Vicke Lindstrand's Stella Polaris range. ) There are very few items in the early catalogues that are given names but this model is consistently unofficially referred to as waterfall .

There is also this one which looks to be a similar shape and design but it's in amber - owner has it as Harrach:
