good find Angela - the pattern mimics cut glass very well I think............. I have one of these, and without damage, but it's always better to have a good pair. Oddly, the only pair of pickles I ever found were in uranium - pity they didn't do these things in more colours - all we need now is to find a pale bluey green one from about 1830. Do you collect only those with Rd. Nos. and lozenges? - if you pick up every one you find there is a tendency to sink beneath a mountain of different designs, and most aren't identifiable.

have now attached the Kew archive picture showing the original drawing submitted for the design of Rd. 253067 for P.V., which as you can see is the pressed pattern only, rather than the pickle itself. Had a quick look but can't see this on Neil's site - am sure I've missed it - can't imagine he hasn't shown this one. There may have been other shapes with this design, but not sure at the moment.
