I need some help with this one which has a silver label featuring an S. the base is polished.

Hi Norman,
I think this is early 1950s (1951) Czechoslovakian, Skrdlovice production, designed by one of the Beranek family, and seems to be a variant of pattern number 5144. What size is it please?

hi Marcus,
thank u so much for that and i am delighted....the height is approx.16cm and acroos the top opening 7cm and across the body...approx 12cm

Hi Norman,
Almost certainly right that this is a variant, as there is a larger version of this vase in the 1954 Skrdlovice catalogue, sized at 21cm, but same diameter.
