scandinavian vase - possibly Kosta or Aseda?
« on: September 30, 2008, 09:35:24 PM »
This is another of my recent haul of glass, from a charity shop this time.

This lovely vase is quite tall, it is packed away right now, but it must be around 13- 14 inches tall.

It has quite a bit of base wear and some water staining inside so is reasonably old.  I thought it is probably Scandinavian, unless anyone knows differently?

I would love a positive id please :)

Thanks Nic and Anne :)

Do you know of a website that has a picture of one please?  I have searched all the sites I can think of, but haven't managed to see one exactly the same, the bases are usually more squared off on the ones I have found for Aseda.

Aseda - as Anne and Nic have already said - designed by Bo Borgstrom.  I think I may have a few of these in stock somewhere - I know I've got the square based ones but I think I may also have one with the bulb type base like yours - I'll have a look tomorrow.
