Pedestal Comport Centrepiece
« on: August 04, 2022, 10:34:26 AM »
Greetings from Downunder, Australia.

I am trying to identify a comport which is proving difficult!  I thought Libochovice or Sowerby but cannot find anything similar.  Does the Board have any suggestions?
Size is height 205mm diameter 220mm

Many thanks.

Barry

The bowl is deeper but the base looks identical to the Libochovice pattern 1551/26cm. one shown on P.32 of the pre 1958 catalogue. I can't show an image because it's on the CD from Marcus Newhall's Sklo Union book and it's copyrighted.

Thanks Nev.  Judy, (my wife) and I thought Libochovice!  No book, no i.d..  We shall have to invest in Marcus Newall's book.  Many thanks in your help with this Nev.  Kind regards, Barry
