Schneider jug in lemon and red?
« on: May 14, 2009, 06:18:54 AM »
Can anyone help identify this jug for me?  It stands about 8" high.  Many thanks in advance for your help.

Hi

Yes it's Schneider -not usually signed  -part of their tableware range - the pattern is in the books

For ages I thought these were quite late (ie post WWII) but now I think they date with the other 'jade' pieces ie 1919-1925. The jug came in 3 sizes and was supposed to come in three colours: yellow, orange and what they called tango. -I Have also seen green. The usual set is with a tray and 6 really nice beer glasses. It also comes with 6 handled mugs -which are not such good quality.

cheers

Mike
