Topic: Exbor Vase - Ladislav Oliva ?? Is this attribution correct ?? Help Please

Again, an auction purchase off of ebay years back that I have found an attribution for, but I do not know the source or their accuracy. I have found works in similar styles attributed to this artist, but nothing just the same. Can anyone confirm or deny the attribution as being Ladislav Oliva. I have also found both a Ladislav Oliva Sr and Jr. I believe the piece dates to the early 70's, and could use some help there also. It also has the Exbor acid stamp mark underside. It measures 7 inches wide, 5.25 high, and 2.75 inches deep.

Absolutely correct, (sorry M and Jindrich, cos I do know this one), but this is an iconic Oliva Snr. design for Exbor.

This was just a quick one I took laying it on the couch..... I have an area I recently set up in my garage to photograph glass as I am starting to photograph and catalogue my collection because I am the only one in the family that really knows what is here.....  and although I have always tried to buy nice looking pieces I liked, it seems I may have some cooler stuff than I realized   

I have always loved this vase, but did not realize the importance of the design. It was a very early ebay purchase for me.  I have continued to look for many years for another to come on similar to it, but so far have not seen one.

I have another Exbor  piece I will put up in a while that I have seen two different attributions for, so I can find out which one it is.

Czech historical calendar is as follows:

- before WWI we were Austria
- than followed pre-war 1st  Czechoslovak republic
- 1918 -1938, 2nd cutailled (border reagions felt to Germany) Czecho-Slovak republic -  November 1938   - March 1939
- Protectorate Bohemia and Moravia + separate Slovak state 1939 -1945

- Czechoslovak republic 1945 - 1961 (after 1948 under the communist leading and Russian control)
- Czechoslovak socialistic republic 1961 - 1990 (in 1968 was officialy declared federation Czech and Slovak republic - but ruled communists)
- Czech and Slovak federal republic - 1990 - 1992 (Havel's state)

 (after signing Lisboa agreement small countries are lost. But I am optimistic - we destroyed Austria - we will destroy EU as well  )

I will try to take them today.....  I believe I have 5 pieces total which will fit your time frame, the three I have posted (Barolac 12111, Oliva, Lipsky), and two vases by Pavel Hlava.....  I will walk through the house and double check though.... Most of my "Czech" glass is 1900-1930's.
