Re: the ID of the bowl - I'm afraid I can't help pin a single maker down - lots of companies made these types of bowl - my thinking is perhaps Ryd or Reijmyre.  I don't think it's Aseda purely because I've never come across or seen documented any bowls like this from them (I have had a fair few of their vases however). 

Whilst the vases you mention and your bowl might have come from the same source prior to the auction I personally wouldn't assume that because the vases were labelled Aseda that the bowl would be from the same maker - it's a little too tenous an assumption IMHO.  Mainly because some people collect a colour rather than a manufacturer and it's entirely possible that they simply belonged to someone with a penchant for amber glass who is now downsizing or upgrading his collection.

Hi Pip -- Thanks for your input -- I guess it will have to be *No-name* glass for the time being.  I thought it looked so much like that Magnor bowl (link) I found -- Rats, among other words.
