Bohemian? gilded vase
« on: May 20, 2010, 06:49:59 PM »
Hello, i would appreciate some help with this vase. I'm wondering if it's Bohemian Moser?

It's five and a half inches tall so not very big. It belongs to a charity shop so would also appreciate an estimate for such a piece please?

Ah, just found this one, it's almost identical....

I might as well buy this one for myself since nobody is interested in Moser glass locally.  ::)

It was a pair of small vases in that style that were my first ever purchase at an "antiques & collectors fair". I thought I might make a collection of them. One day, I went to Aflie's antiques market in London and saw a whole load of them, in various shapes, on one lady's stall. And then I kept seeing them everywhere I went. I eventually moved on to "coloured victorian" glass and other things.

That was in 1989/90. So, if they are not appearing regularly any more, I wonder who's hiding them all.
