Czech? Knobbly thread help to find it please
« on: October 01, 2010, 03:11:19 PM »
Sorry to be a pain, but a few weeks ago, someone posted a dark, possibly grey knobbly vase which I think was Czech.  It had a flared rim with a cut out gap in the rim.  Can someone please give me the link to the thread, I have spent a long time trying to find it with no luck. :spls:

Thank you Robert, what a busy thread that is!  Do I take it that the vase referred to here

Hi friends,
the vase at the first picture is not Skrdklovice piece but Karlovarské sklo. '
I found here labeled one: http://www.aukro.cz/item1031858555.html

was the same vase as in the link Chris gave above which shows the photo of the vase to which I am referring? So therefore Karlovarski Sklo?

I wish I could be more helpful....... most of these are Karlovarske Sklo. However, I do remember an ashtray in this sort of grey-black colourway being attributed to Chribska. Hopefully Jindra may be able to comment further.

Certainly the light blue-dark blue vases have been seen by more than one person with Karlovarske Sklo labels- that is why I am happy to belive they were produced by that factory. The main problem for me is that they are often misattributed to Skrdlovice.

Just purchased this one,

Weighs 2.5 Kg, heavier than some of my Whitefriars FLC knobblies!

The colour looks grey, but has an undertone of dark green.  Very nice vase.
