It seems like that first letter has to be a G.  There is too much flourish for a J (in my opinion)

I agree -- that is what i *thought* in the beginning here -- it is a G....

What is this on?  a bowl?  A paperweight?  Do you have a pic of the whole item?

My guesses would be:

~ GAIL A_____

~ GEOF A_____

the last name looks like something like:  Ariel, or Airil......or else the two dots could be an accent mark from another country too for the last name.....like an *a* with a * .. * over it ....

Just my guesses here.......... :huh:



.....and that is sure what it looks likes to me too...the letter G.  (IMHO) :spls:  AND may we have a Pic of the whole item, to see some details, design....style.
