possibly Murano bowl for confirmation
« on: December 10, 2011, 07:17:47 PM »
Makes me think of a piece from that area, with all that gold foil/flecking in the underside - possibly a tourist souvenir maybe - but I'm really out of my area with Venice.     Just that it seemed unusual with this vast amount of green, but suppose they can be in almost any colourway.    Anyone know if it might be from a specific output.   Getting on for 7"/170mm in diameter.   Anyway, just thought you might like to have a butchers ( butchers hook for look) :)

Haven't got a scooby but the frills look VERY much like this older Murano piece -  never seen the treatment before elsewhere.

thanks - makes me think of crimping on the edge of pastry.      What sort of date/period are you implying when you say 'older' :)

uhmmmm.........I really hadn't thought of mine being that old.        On what are you basing the dateline for your piece?  -  I assume it has a mark/label which helps.
