Schweig, Müller & Co Lady
« on: July 24, 2013, 08:31:25 AM »
Hello
I have a few of these ladies in the standard color's but does this one look right or is she modern? She has the reg mark etc like the others but I have never seen one in this pinky mauve.
                    Thanks

I've not seen that color before & although I am in the U.S. I've not seen one that doesn't have a satin finish either. Not all of them have numbers on the base though...I have a pair in lamps & one flower frog/disk bowl & none of them have numbers although I just thought since they were basically parts for a piece that explained it.

Thank you for your reply.  She doesn't look very deco in this color.  All examples I have googled so far have been satin, and the lamp bases and frogs are all satin too. The moulding is very crisp I can see every hair on her head and she has clear shoes unlike my others though they are the later models with the longer hair.

I do have a fake Orla in bottle green glass so I know people did reproduce some of the lady centre pieces, although I do have some original glass flower frogs in non satin finishes so she could be right I suppose. . . but then a collector here would have seen another if she was factory produced.

Hmm I will never find a frog and bowl or lamp to match this one I think :)
