Not really sure how to describe this? reminds almost of mother of pearl not sure how the effect is achieved on such thinly blown glass but I think it's gorgeous and quality be helpful if anyone recognises the technique or the signature ta  :)

Maybe Rolf Schrade? the Carafe and glasses described 'Millefiore' look a good match style wise.

Rolf and Dieter are brothers and have worked together for some time, and possibly have produced similar styles then.
The initial doesn't look like R to me at all - D is much more likely.

Struggled to get round the site so never realised, my initial search for Dieter seemed way of the mark in terms of the work he was doing, someone suggested Rolf and a google search brought up similar style items so put 2 and 2 together and came uo with 5 your right it is a 'D'
