German I believe ????????
« on: June 30, 2014, 09:55:58 AM »
I believe this to be of German origin but I cannot be sure, or of a time period. Any ideas? The shape is conical rather than ovoid and has a polished flat base. Diameter is 3.00 inches.
    Regards Roger.

Well,,,,thank you for the info,  that is remarkable how they are producing weights of good character and production at such a low price. A bit more education for me.
      Many thanks, Roger.

Hi there, just another small point. The reason I felt the weight was originally of German origin is because of a previous weight I had from Alsace/ Germany. Chinese copying ideas I guess.

Hi.  I don't think the Chinese are copying 'ideas' for the sake of it, and hoping the end product sells.  I think the Chinese copy those things that customers in Europe or the USA ask them to copy.....
