Chance Spiderweb?
« on: October 29, 2016, 09:40:58 PM »
Hi everyone

I'm pretty sure this is spiderweb, but just wanted to check as I've never seen a set with the full colour on before, it's usually just the bands of colour, could someone verify for me please?

thanks

That looks like Spiderweb to me. The banded crinkles are the most common but you do see these ones, sometimes even with the base with crinkles. Chance were certainly very creative with their decoration. That looks like a nice full set.

Definitely Spiderweb and it looks like the turquoise Matthey Crinkles to me, but you really need to take the photo in daylight to get a better picture. Made from 1950–53.

I have to say those Crinkles do look green to me David  -  unless Chance's turquoise was heavily biased toward green.

Could be green, but until the photo is retaken in daylight it's hard to tell. I can just detect a hint of blue there, but it is misleading.

I've colour corrected it in Photoshop but I still can't tell.

My orange set has crinkles across the bottom rows but the top 3 rows are clear with decals on.
