Hi, can someone please help identify the glass paperweight shown in these photos? It's 5 inches tall, 4 inches at the widest, and 1 inch deep.

It has a 1990 date, a signature on the side that seems to start with an "E," and what looks like "WFS 0014" on the bottom.

Thanks in advance!

P.S. I found online another WFS-coded paperweight that's the same style, but this time with a very different signature (see photos).

Does this help shed any light on the artist or studio? Thanks!

I think your mark starts WF5 not WFS.

The paperweight on eBay starts WPS or WP5, not sure here.

How interesting. I see why you're saying that, but I found a second example online where the person thought it was WFS, and the piece is the same style as the other two:

Looks like Eric Brakken of Glasshouse Studio, Seattle, WA.

You're right! This was Eric Brakken at Glasshouse Studio in Seattle. I emailed the studio and they confirmed it.

They even still make a modern-day version of the same piece: http://www.glasshouse-studio.com/image/99181235.jpg

The WFS is their code for Weight Flat Sided. (Other codes they use include WSF for Weight Single Flower, WRA for Weight Round Abstract, WOA for Weight Optical Abstract, VFS for Vase Flat Sided, VFP for Vase Footed Petite, VFA for Vase Footed Abstract, etc.).

Thanks for helping me solve this glass mystery!
