Topic: Lamp - Not sure of it

Hi, My grandmother just gave me this lamp.  I do not know a thing about it except that she said that she has had it quite a while....I think I recall seeing it in her home late 60's or 70's.  Anyone have a idea.  Are these glass, or what?

Well, I'll remind people here (at the risk of being teased again  ) of my - totally unprofessional - method of testing if something is glass or plastic!    Tap it (gently) against your teeth!    I can always 'feel' the difference immediately between glass and anything else. 

OK, now let's have all the jokes about 'biting' glass again!

What is the green between top and middle pieces? Need an under base and light fittiing views to give an idea of date, type of lamp was made for a long time. Also check for markings on base and on bulbholder.
