Hi Chris, as we don't yet know who Jones imported from, anything's possible!  ;D The latest tots with the Astra label on are nothing like the iridescent ones so you guess is as good as mine. I keep rummaging around to see what else I can turn up about them - one day we may get a breakthrough. :) 

I think worn iridescence may indicate a surface treated type rather than a fired in type. Mine aren't worn, but I have some others which were iridescent, and were washed in the dishwasher and are now totally clear glass - no shine at all!  :o  (I'm trying to remember if we've discussed this before and think we may have - I'll have a search.)

Yes please, if you can move the bits off to new topics, as we have a confirmed Whitefriars, a possible French, and a could be anywhere all in the same topic which will surely cause a headache to archive.  >:D. Thanks Chris. :)
