Cambridge Glass Collection?? Can anyone confirm ID
« on: February 25, 2012, 11:21:26 PM »
Hello, I am looking for any help or opinions on three pieces of glass I own.

The first piece is a little pear I have owned for a few years, it has it's original silver label which is very worn but I can just make out Cambridge England (the stalk was broken but it was 50p @ a boot sale, it was too nice not to buy).
The second I purchased recently from Ebay, it was listed as Isle of Wight?? but I could see similarities in colours and pattern to my pear - after receiving it and comparing the two I am fairly sure they are the same maker. (this in the pic is the medium sized purple bottle shaped vase).
The third piece is a pink & white vase that I have had for a few years (again from a boot sale & unidentified maker) but the base of both vases are identical (see pic 3) and the pattern & shape are very similar to the smaller purple vase.

I would love to hear anyones opinions or anyone who could confirm or rule out Cambridge Glass as the maker.
Thank you

Cambridge glass was a studio by the river and run by Dillon Clarke , the pear is right but i dont know about the vases . i would say i do believe that they are by the same studio . Dillon Clarke - a woman not a fella did not make all items , a couple of others worked for her . jp

The pink one looks good; very similar to the Midsummer Glass ones with the sun prunt (same place, same person).

Ive made a mistake the little label on the pear does say Midsummer England.

Does anyone know the pattern/colours produced by Midsummer - the pink & white vase is so similar to the other two pieces. :X:

Thank you JP for the info above - I learn something new everytime I post a question!!
