identification - ysart?
« on: June 09, 2009, 06:35:32 PM »
Can anyone tell me who made this weight? I am hoping that it is a Paul Ysart.
In any event any information would be most welcome. Many thanks.

Yes, it was made by Paul Ysart, probably 1930s or maybe post-war 1940s.

Welcome to the GMB ;D

Many thanks for the quick ID, the info and the kind welcome. I am a novice but already completely hooked!!! This is also my first Ysart. Thanks again.

Check out my articles on Ysart weights and things.

And if you have not already done so, you could consider joining the PCC, which produces a three-times-a-year superb full colour newsletter as well as organising all sorts of meetings and events.

Oh yes, and the PCA is pretty good organisation to join, too. They do a rather good annual bulletin amongst other things.

1. Yes, I realized afterwards that you were the 'man of the Ysart paperweight site.' I am doubly grateful as your info there helped me decide to buy the weight in the first place!!!

2. Yes, I am thinking of joining the PCC. Actually you are the third person to suggest this in less than 3 weeks (conspiracy me think...).
