Bagley Candlesticks and Ebay
« on: January 28, 2010, 03:29:04 PM »
Hi Everyone,
I wasn't too sure where to post this, so I am sorry if it is in the wrong place.
Before Christmas I bought a pair of Bagley fan candlesticks http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160385058690
but I haven't received them :(

I have sent emails, but with no reply and am now going through a PayPal resolution, but I was wondering if anyone knew of the seller - his name is Mark Powell, eBay ID bungie60.  There seems to be another person who hasn't received their glass either, so I hope that this isn't a scam.
Could anyone shed any light on this please
Thanks
Nicola

Oh, I hope that he is OK.  I know that it is naive, but I like to think of glass collectors as a nice bunch - everyone I have ever spoken to here, at trade fairs or who have come to my website and emailed me have been so kind and genuine and the idea of someone running a scam is more saddening than the whole ebay fiasco ...  :-\

Mark emailed me on the 7th December as well, but I've not heard from him or seen him around since. It's not like him not to respond so I suspect something's happened. :(
Cheers! Anne, da tekniqual wizzerd

His feedback score is overwhelmingly positive with many complimentary comments so he cannot be running a scam. Like others have said, he may well be ill. This once happened to me in my earlier Ebay days and it turned out the poor chap had sadly passed away - I'm almost sure that a friend of his posted on here to alert us to that sad situation.
