Portieux black and white milk glass
« on: March 07, 2010, 03:28:02 PM »
Hello all my 8 year old daughter picked this up today and has asked me to pop it on here to find out the age.  I think it could be Portieux but not 100% sure and do not know of the age.  It is black and white milk glass with quite a rough base.  The castle type top is ovalish and measures roughtly 6.5 x 5.5cm and stands just under 8 cm tall.
Any info appreciated.

No, not Portieux or Valérysthal. Your Cornucopia in slag glass is from Sars-Poteries, circa 1880

Thanks Ivo, she is chuffed to ribbons, now proudly placed upon her dresser with some euros sat in it.
