Skruf designed the original one BUT:
- I've never seen it in smoke
- there are at least two other makers of a similar decanter, one in Poland and one in Italy
So I'd say, undecided for now. A picture of the bottom would not do a lot of good either - as both imitations have a polished underside.

Interestingly this one does not have a polished underside - it has a ground pontil mark.  It's not a hole in the middle like the Skruff one I have either .... it is dimpled .. not holed.

Any of that help?

I have a similar style one too, although i believe mine to be a Munskanken Carafe by Skruf, here is one identical to mine on ebay (not my advert by the way)
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300410889193&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
But that too has the pressed together centre NOT hole, mine has a polished and ground pontil
Not sure if any of that will help with this query though sorry

Ummm ... errrrr ..... :spls2:  That listing is mine.  Oh god ... embarrassed ... that one DOES have a hole ..... it is much larger than the one I'm asking about .....  also has a polished pontil ..... and is dimpled ... must have imagined the hole ... been a very long week

:24: what a small world we live in  :24:, yours was the only one ive been able to find when trying to get an ID on my one (thanks  ;D)
so this one has the pressed together centre similar to the skruf one? not a hole. How is the top finished off on the decanter? and could you get a picture of the base on, it may help

I trolled the net to ID my Skruf one ... one link was http://www.deskstore.se/SKRUF-WATER-CARAFE-110-CL but I forget the rest.

The top of the unidentified one has 2 lips.  I'll get the Photo Slave to do some photos of the top and base when he's off the phone to his sister .... tomorrow maybe ..... that girl can talk!!!!!!
