Topic: French art glass vase marked J E M

Hello, does anyone have any information on a French glassmaker that marked their pieces "JEM"?  Here's a link to an eBay auction for a vase:

I've seen a few of these JEM signed pieces in U.S. malls over the years (some even say JEM France) & some certainly resemble LeGras. One lady I've known in the art glass field informed me that its been speculated (mind you I said speculated) its the work of a former LeGras decorator who struck out on their own in the 20's. Beyond that I have no idea. Ken

In and around Paris in the late 1920s and 1930s there were well over 100 glass houses that just painted and enamelled other company's 'blank' glassware (they called it hot and cold enamelling) -most of them never even signed their work.

Some of the greats include Damon - Marcel Goupy -Delvaux -the list goes on

Legras were unusual as they made their own blanks and their enamelling varied from poor to amazing

In amongst the 'honourable mentions' were Mazoyer, Joma and JEM 

Apologies to the other good ones I've missed out

Sadly never I've managed to track many facts down about Jem -I think a hundred hopefull ebayer sellers have linked it to Legras as you suggest (all the others on this list are much better documented)

Sorry I can be more help. If there ever was a great 'glass' research project for someone this is it

I cannot find anything online regarding JEM, nor in the many books on art glass I own.

Here's a link to an eBay auction, attributing a vase signed JEM to Joseph Mure. Does anyone know of this maker?

Mure, Joseph is included in Hartmann's Glasmarken Lexicon.

There is a reference to two types of a "JEM" mark. Perhaps those among us who have a copy of the book and can translate from the German could let us know what it actually says.
