Topic: Cranberry flash Wine glass with makers mark

Anybody recognise the makers mark on this glass? The stem is very nicely cut hexagon. Wish I had the set.

They do look the same. Well sleuthed, thank you. Can they be dated by the change in the way they are marked? i.e. my one just having the initials as opposed to the set in the link.

I think they are the same, however, unfortunately I don't know enough about the markings in order to confirm a date for your glass.

Purely speculation, however, I would think the acid etched mark shown in the link, would be a fairly recent mark as It can be seen on some modern VSL pieces. In terms of the initialled engraved mark on yours i think this has been used for a few years, so may be a little harder to pinpoint exactly...sorry I can't be of more help, I'm sure someone will confirm soon.

the mark is diamond point, usually not all are marked.  Most of my VSL are unmarked. The model is Prince-Evecque which only occurs in clear crystal in the 2000 catalogue - so not in cut-to-clear. There is no telling if your red wine glass pre- or postdates that catalogue.
