Hi SVAZZO,

my assumption that Pairpoint with millefiori are from the late 1970ies has two reasons:
firstly. Hollister does NOT mention this type in his Encyclopaedia, but says that Pairpoint
was working until 1958 (as successor to Mt. Washington).- Second, George Kulles does
not mention it in his "Antique Millefiori-Less familiar" brochure, so they are NOT antiques;
unfortunately weights like yours and mine are often offered as "Antique"- even by renowned
dealers and auction houses...
I am trying to find out, what was made when and where...
Some of the canes and roses even resemble antique Venetian types of Franchini, made in the 1840ies!!
kind regards, Erhard
EJM

Thanks a lot to you all!

I must include a bit of research history- I owe my results to Andreas Stammwitz, who had a couple of Pairpoint weights out for auction in the common e-market place; the same with Travis Chaudoir, and finally Alan Thornton, who confirmed the ID, all happened almost simultaneously...

- but beware, a search for a category within "sold items" can be useful- but also sports wrong attributions...

Have not got  reply from the Mount Washington/Pairpoint Research site yet,

Kind regards, E.
