Hi there glass goers
Nice to join you all
If you have the time please offer your thoughts on this piece i have recently bought from a charity shop in sherborne, dorset

He incredibly heavy - lead crystal perhaps
He has been blown
he has what i believe to be a true and genuine pontal mark (apologies if have spelt pontal wrong)
He has etched eyes
He measures approx 8 inches long and 5 inches fat all the way around
no signatures on him
I believe him to depict a puffa fish

would really appreciate your comments

many thanks

sarah

Hi Sarah and welcome to the board :)

I'm sorry I can't help with your fish though he is quite beautiful.  However there are other people on the board who, I am sure, will be able to help and should be along within the next few days.  Not everyone visits daily so please keep an eye out for when there are more replies.
