Walther & Sohne blue frosted glass nymphen lamp
« on: November 18, 2014, 06:54:03 AM »
I purchased this recently from a local classifieds because I thought it was beautiful. After a lengthy internet investigation I have come to believe this to be a walther & sohne blue frosted glass nymphen lamp most likely to go with dressing set. The only problem is I can't find a lamp available in this line mentioned anywhere. I do beleive the lamp base and shade to be original, the wiring was damaged and partially removed. I would love to hear any additional information regarding walther & sohne lamps especially in the nymphen or mermaid pattern.

Hello and welcome to GMB!

I cannot tell about the shade, I'm afraid, but the base looks equal to Walther # 44037 of 1934 catalogue

The base has a notch to accommodate the electric wires so it started life as a lamp.
