possible scandinavian,help needed.
« on: September 20, 2015, 09:51:30 PM »
bought this nice vase at an antique fair today. the light blue colour reminded me of Stromberg, but it does not appear to have a signature(some wear to the base) and I could not see this distinctive shape in any of my books.
does anybody recognize this vase?. it stands 150mm tall,140mm across the top and 85mm at the base.
thank you,
tim

Essi that shape is very modern, seen lots in Op-shops.  I suspect China or Eastern Europe.

Thanks to Christine and ross for the feedback.
The vase does show some good signs of age on the base and in the main body of the vase. Doubt it is a decco item but was hopeing it could be a space age item !.
The pontil mark is well polished out and the vase weighs .98 kgs. Cant help thinking scandinavin.
Thanks again,
Tim
