Id Tchecoslovaquie Bowl with "Winged" Vertical Handles. ID = Libochovice #1389

I picked up this lovely bowl at a thrift store for $5 and am wondering if anyone here can possibly identify a maker?  The only one like it that I was able to find online was a sold listing on eBay, in which the seller said it was "possibly" Libochovice.... just wondering if anyone here might know for sure.  It's pressed glass, about 12.5 inches long including the handles, 7 inches wide, and about 4 inches tall.  Stamped into the inner bottom in raised glass letters is "Tchecoslovaquie", which as I understand it means it was originally intended for sale in France when it was made.  Any info would be helpful, thanks in advance!

Yours is an oval shaped 'jardinière' and certainly is Libochovice pattern # 1389 as it appears in their catalogue 1930-1939 • nice find! And very good photos too!  :)

Thank you for the welcome and the fast help, Pamela! :)  Thanks for the picture compliments; I have a DSLR camera and a photo cube that I use for photos, as I loathe poor quality pictures of such beautiful things lol.

Do you know where I might find a copy of the catalog you're referring to online? Or is it only available in print?  Interesting that you called it a jardiniere, and perhaps I just don't know all the meanings of the term... I thought a jardiniere was a small pot for putting ornamental plants in and such.  Shows how much I know.  ;)

If it's of oval shape and has handles, I just tend to name it jardinière... Well done, you did mention the size and measurements, without these it is often hard to tell from the photo whether a bowl is round or oval  ;)

This 1930-1939 catalogue unfortunately isn't online but was mentioned in Pressglas-Korrespondenz 2010-1-06
