Help finding Stuart Crystal / RMS Queen Mary archivals
« on: April 10, 2016, 07:24:49 PM »
I am new to GMB ...  I am having a difficult time finding archival material of any kind for the 'wave' crystal pattern, and would love to have the advice of all of you so knowledgable on Stuart crystal. I have been pointed to the Broadfield museum (of course closed) and the Queen Mary's archives (very hard to access), and the Shipbuilder (only a short paragraph) As I am in the U.S. I am finding a hard time of it. There must have been tens of thousands of pieces made but I cannot find a single sheet identifying the shapes. And of course this pattern was unmarked. Any direction at all would be so greatly appreciated, as I am working to create a reference guide for this highly sought after pattern.

Stuart on Average made at least 10 shapes up to 16 depending on pattern, an Ebay seller (close to where I live) is selling pattern books on Ebay.

The Queen Mary set is not in any of them but it might give you a hint on shapes and style especially this one in the link below and the 1927 issue which stuffed with the Stratford ring sets and Deco shapes..

Just search this sellers other listings.

Regards Chris.

Thank you Chris - I will try for it!
I myself have seen/owned at least 16 shapes in the 'wave' pattern (glasses only, not counting pitchers and jugs)  and I know there are more. It's quite an assortment, hence my desire to nail down the entire array.
The search continues!
