Topic: Red hot vase ! Murano ? Venini ?

Here in the UK we are sizzling in a heatwave ! So here is a red vase - large [ about 14 inches across ] heavy vase, blood red over orange cased in clear with applied handles - Venini seems to have done this colourway. From the wear to the foot I would think perhaps 1980's, does it seem likely  Murano or not ?  what do people think ?

Hi, on page 206 of Miller’s Colectables Handbook 2012-2013 there is a vase that looks almost identical to this (although there is only one picture). The urn shape, shape of the handles and crimped handle attachments look the same, the only difference looks to be that the handles are not twisted and it’s smaller. The text says ‘A 1950s-60s Italian orange-cased opaque white urn-shaped vase, with applied colourless handles. 8.5in (21.5cm) high’.

I think it's hard to attribute these kinds of vases. Certainly similarly coloured, thinly cased vases were made in the Empoli region, as well as in Japan and China. Without a labelled example I don't think there's any way to be sure of the maker sadly.
