Turquoise horizontal ribbed glass vase
« on: October 28, 2018, 05:48:17 PM »
Hi,

I'm hoping someone can please identify my Nan's vase which I think is from the 70s. The vase is a turquoise or teal colour with fairly broad horizontal ribs or bands which are only slight evident on the outside. The base is quite heavy but it the glass gets quite thin at the top. The vase was about 12 inches (30cm) tall. The second photograph isn't great as it's an enlargement from an old photograph. The first photograph shows a similar vase I found through Google image search but this one seems to be much smaller. It was labelled as "Studio Glass".

There doesn't seem to be any signature or mark on the base of the vase and it may just be cheap glass but it has sentimental value. Unfortunately my husband broke the original and I'd dearly love to get a replacement, however, I can't replace it as I don't know what it is. I don't even know how to described the shape of it.

Thanks.

Debbie
