Flat spot vase/jug
« on: February 02, 2020, 08:49:01 PM »
This jug/vase is about 6 1/4" h 4 1/4 w and weighs 3 pounds. It is an odd little, maybe experimental, piece, I think. It is ground flat on one side so that it can easily rest on that side on a flat surface. Perhaps there is a practical reason for this, or maybe it is whimsical? There is the remains of a bit of the pontil that has not been ground off on the bottom and quite a bit of random scratching which makes me think it has some age to it. No idea what I have. The coloring reminds me of Skrdlovice but the bottom finish does not. I found it in the U.S. It may be a student piece? I thought I post this, since I am posting so odd ball stuff.
Glass mutt. I collect anything I like & find interesting & is of reasonable quality.
