Pink cased enamelled vase - who? Where?
« on: March 27, 2007, 07:07:24 PM »
I bought this pink enamelled vase just because I thought the work was beautiful.  All hand painted you can see all the brush strokes - the picture seems to have flattened the enamelling, it is rather more raised and "enamelly" if you know what I mean.  Little enamelled white dots to the rim.  Quite large, 9 ins 230 mm. Gilding to the rim and to the feet, all rather rubbed.

I have found one with similar little feet, that was claimed to be French.  But I have also seen similar claimed to be Moser.  So who might it be by?  and which country?

Thank you!

Thank you very much!

Harrach might be an option. The feet don't seem typically Bohemian, but I did find a Harrach vase with them.

Thanks Christine, I sold it as simply a Victorian vase in the end, the buyer was delighted with it.
Thank you very much!
