Thomas Webb & Sons
« on: July 16, 2007, 10:49:10 PM »
There is a new article about Thomas Webb & Sons on the Glass Encyclopedia today, at http://www.glassencyclopedia.com/thomaswebbglass.html
I would appreciate feedback about that article, in case I have made any errors.
In the past it has been really helpful when others have given me advice.
And the other kind of feedback is always good too - if you enjoy reading it.

You still have the problem with text going over the coloured bar on the right and with one caption "above and below: two more Thomas Webb logos." the word more goes out of the left margin almost to the main text.

Thanks Frank. I will have to get some advice on how to avoid that problem.

I think Webb was bought up by Coloroll Group not Colorall.  They had also taken over a number of pottery companies such as Biltons and Kilncraft, if I remember right.

Thanks very much for that correction Chris.
Do you know why Edinburgh Crystal wasn't affected by this bankruptcy?

According to wikipedia

"Caledonia Investments, with the support of senior managers, led a buy-out of the Edinburgh Crystal Glass Company and the Thomas Webb and Sons brand in 1990. The new company moved all manufacturing and distribution to its site in Penicuik."
