Angus Greener Value
« on: July 18, 2007, 03:49:01 PM »
Good morning:

I have been presented with an opportunity to purchase a celery vase and large flat dish dated 26 June 1867.  I have identified the pieces using Lattimore's Press-Moulded Glass book page 76.  Both piece are frosted and in very good condition with clear Rd marks.  I have never encountered these pieces before and have no idea of value.  This is in the Canadian marketplace, please suggest a fair price that I should pay for these pieces.  Thanks in avdvance for any help or suggestions.

Hi Carl, Value is very subjective and really depends on what someone is prepared to pay at a given time, so few people on the board would venture to speculate on value to be honest. If you needed an accurate valuation (say for insurance purposes) you would need to consult an appraiser.  Good luck with the purchase, and if you do buy it would you be kind enough to share pictures of it with us please?
Cheers! Anne, da tekniqual wizzerd
