Studio Goblet....Iittala Arkipelago stem?
« on: October 18, 2007, 11:36:15 AM »
ID help please.....

16.5cm (6 1/2in) high quite thick blown glass goblet with smokey semi-opaque red bowl and solid stem with folds and suspended bubbles, small snapped pontil scar to base, no mark.

The stem/foot is a dead ringer for Sarpaneva's Arkipelago range for Iittala but I cant find anything like this and the colour does'nt look Iittala to me so I suspect it's a contemporary studio piece using the same technique....It feels like a nice quality piece but does anyone recognise it?

Many thanks,
M.
