Topic: Mdina (is this style still liked)

I Have
         these 3 pieces of Mdina glass one of which is signed over the past few wks i have bought at least 8 Mdina piece's of glass which i tend to like, my wife find them dull in style and colour. i was wondering if any more of the members on this site like Mdina and if so this style or the more update type glass as i am guessing these are from the 60s as the other piece's i have seem to be, thanks

I'm confident these are much newer than 1960s, more likely late 1980s or 1990s.

but these are 90s, common, not very popular, and dont sell on ebay
But they might in 20 years or so

Surely it's a question of whether you like it or not.

But if you do like Mdina then buy Mark's book: www.markhillpublishing.com where you can identify the glass for yourself...

My book covers the period from when Michael Harris founded the company and devised their products in 1968, until he left in 1972, with a brief few pages on later new designs and derivations of original his designs.
Incidentally, one of the main reasons, if not THE main reason, why I could not take these further is that Joseph Said (Mdina's current owner) did not seem to want to help in any way. I tried for over three years (on and off) to converse with him, and although his daughter was initially very helpful, contact soon slipped away. A colleague also went to visit him in Malta, but again with no avail. There was simply no enthusiasm there, but I guess they do have a very busy business to run! I'd love to have gone further but, hey ho, maybe next time.
