I thought a title like that might wake your interest.

Could it read "chick cole"?

16 cms, 19.5 cms if you count the handle.  (6.1/2 and 8" for the uninitiated). It is quite a heavy piece and has an semi - unfinished pontil mark - well the sharp edges have been filed off.

I was wondering about the "neck hanging" clearly a missed comma there. Do you think it is very old or could it be a studio piece. The wire looks like it could be from almost any, except very modern, period

i had to take out all the commas because the title exceeded my maximum title allowance but i did not see anything wrong with a pierced trumpet neck.  I have no idea about age, the lady I bought it from said she had it for 15 years, but FWIW - hmmm. The colour is a deep dark copper? red and the wire is a bit rustic & rusty. The sig suggests studio, the shape (Skruf decanter) suggests seventies.

A bit off the wall,
could it be used on a ship, on a hook, so it doesnt spill?
Or full of Vodka & Red Bull round the neck at Glastonbury ;D

How about a stirrup cup or flask?

A stirrup cup, on horseback! sounds possible.

Good one, you're thinking of neckglasses - but it is quite heavy for the light party crowd, so maybe more along the line of maple syrup dispenser for your donuts, or oil container for last rites?
