Its 6 5/8" tall, Rim 5 7/8" wide, has an overlapping rim (pic4)
polished pontil, some age wear , lighter (weight) than i expected. 500g.
smooth outside, you can feel texture of bubbles inside.

Maybe its a Scotty ;D

I think it might be wearing black tights and white shoes and dancing round its handbag at the other end of the UK, maybe

Hi Andy,

Nazeing Funnel vase turn-over rim and what appears to be a  pre-war pontil, shape number 37/55 if pre-war, and 78/1 if post-war.  You got that one a bit cheap ;)

Ta ta, Nigel

Nigel, i thought maybe Nazeing, just found similar in a Millers 30s book, and couldnt
match a Monart.
Cheap? you say, I will have you know i paid nearly £5 for it ;D
I take it you may have noticed it on a certain auction website.
(i see a similar one on your website price range B)  :hiclp:

Cheers

The original thread where Frank gave his opinion of the Nazeing green has gone, but if you follow this link to Frank's post, you'll find a reference which leaves no doubt.  >:D

Is this counted as May Green, Nigel?

Sorry Andy, I was just being very naughty and wibbling in your thread. Some years ago, Frank started a thread on ugly glass, and posted a vase not unlike this as the ugliest he knew of. Just thought it was amusing that you'd asked him specifically. (Small things amuse small minds and all, you know  ;D )
