Biot Glass

I got an ashtray yesterday clear glass with hundreds of bubbles running through it, not that well made, marked on the base BIOT, has anyone heard of them before, i believe Biot is in France? But have not seen glass from there before.

Yes Dave they are still working Angela Rippon went there a couple of weeks ago on one of those Naff TV Thingys . Still churning out the bubbles .

i had a nice green Biot vase for ages, im sure you saw it, feeling lazy, i put it in a lot of
bits and pieces in the local auction, got about a tenner for the lot, and then i saw
my vase on ebay from the chap who bought it at the auction, and he got
nearly £40 for it  >:(  >:(

I visited the Biot glassworks as a child on holiday in France in the early 1970s.
